I probably say this about every shoot we do but up until now "Sink Into Pink" has been my favorite campaign. It combines so many of my favorite things: a strange and majestic place in nature, dreaminess, and the color pink. Not to mention my home country, Mexico and a team of really cool creative women.
I had wanted to shoot at this location for a while. I mean, it's a legendary place close to my hometown (Cancun, MX) and IT'S PINK! Nothing artificial, that's just how glorious nature is (it has to do with the salt).
For the video Hana and I referred to our inspiration as "An acid trip on a pink mermaid planet" and in all honesty it was a little bit like going to a different planet and adapting to it: difficult to get to, the water was scalding hot, the sun and heat were crazy harsh and sharp salt crystals on the ground we had to walk on. But our model Anakaren is a rockstar with the best attitude and it came out like a dream. Mexico really is a beautiful place- mermaid and pink lovers you need to visit this place if you are up for the trip! Thanks to Hana, Anakaren and Tania for creating this pink dream with me.
